Late Night with LRIG: Rapid-Fire Innovation Session

This session offers quick, discerning information-bites from approximately 15 companies or institutions serving the many industries employing the science of laboratory automation and screening.
This is specifically a venue for companies to showcase their latest products and technology improvements.
For attendees, this session provides an efficient forum for learning about news and trends on the commercial front allowing attendees to then visit the participating companies as they choose during their remaining time at SLAS2015. Seating will be limited on a first-come, first-served basis. Admission is free simply requiring all participants to register as an exhibit-only attendee. Light appetizers and drinks are provided.
The program consists of three 40 or-so minute sessions. Each session will be moderated by one of the following organizational leaders:
Each presentation may be up to 6 minutes in length and contain up to four slides. There will be 2 minutes for questions-and-answers following each presentation. Participating companies are encouraged to cover the following topics:
What new product or capability is offered commercially in the previous 12 months?
How is this different from previously-offered products? How does it compare to similar products offered by competitors?
Why is this capability important?
What problems had to be overcome to make it a reality?
On what day was it commercially released?
What is list price? (optional)
What is best way to get more information? (stop by booth in exhibit all, website, handouts)
Companies must submit an application for consideration.
Deadline: Friday, November 4, 2016
Only products that have been released in the previous 12 months will be accepted.
Decisions will be made and communicated on or around December 5, 2016.
Exhibitors and non-exhibitors may submit applications. Non-exhibitor applications must demonstrate a higher level of innovation to be considered for this program.
Both end-user and OEM companies may submit applications as well. OEM applications must be of interest to attendees.
For technology and inventions that require more extensive discussion, speakers are encouraged to submit abstracts for the standard sessions.
The session moderators will qualify and select companies for participation based on applications received. It is in the best interest of applicants to fully complete the application including all of the questions mentioned above.1
Inclusive, but not limited to, the moderator's decision criteria may be prioritized by:
Thoroughness in answering questions listed above;
Likelihood to be of interest to SLAS2017 attendees;
Impact on the field of laboratory automation and screening;
Technical originality;
Product availability;
Seminal integration and of automation and screening strategies.
Upon selection into the program, presenters agree to:
Provide presentation slides as requested no later than Friday, January 20, 2017 — no exceptions.
Any slides not received by the deadline may be dropped from the program.
