Mention the Invention Global Contest

Are you an innovator with a mind for engineering? Put your creativity to use for a good cause. Enter our Mention the Invention contest. Create something that uses the list of materials below, then post a short video of your invention to Facebook and use #MeantToInvent.Three winners will be selected each week and will receive a t-shirt. Each month a grand prize winner will have $500 donated to his or her local FIRST® program or United Way. The contest runs August 1 to October 31, 2017. You may use any of the materials on this list to create your invention, but you do not need to use them all. Use other tools, such as scissors, to help build your invention, but they may not be part of your invention. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) provides after-school, mentor-based programs for young people that cross socio-economic, race, and gender boundaries to build science, engineering, and technology skills.
