Robohub (http://robohub.org) is an international online community that connects roboticists to the rest of the world. We have an international readership of over 80K unique visitors each month, and a significant social media following. Increasingly we are also becoming a one-stop shop for journalists looking for robotics news and tips, with our stories being picked up by the BBC, Forbes, The New York Times, and many other mainstream news outlets. Since its launch, Robohub has helped hundreds of robotics experts from all areas communicate about their work. Our core team of editors and volunteers are passionate about robotics and science communication, and their collective expertise across a wide range of robotics topics will provide mentorship and guidance as you learn to communicate about this fast-developing field.
As part of the Robohub team, you will have the opportunity to:
connect with many of the key players in robotics
stay on top of the news and research developments that matter to the robotics community
hone your science communication and editorial skills, and develop expertise specific to the robotics industry
work with a dedicated and highly supportive team
Your role as Science Communication Intern will be to help with all editorial tasks (70%) and marketing (30%) essential for the operations of the Robohub network. In particular, you will help:
Post weekly stories
Prepare bi-weekly transcripts of podcasts
Put in place a social media strategy
Write roundtable discussions with experts and prepare monthly digests
Connect with new contributors
You can work from anywhere in the world provided you are accessible online during office hours.

To be successful in your application, you will ideally have:
High attention to detail
Experience in science journalism/publishing
The ability to demonstrate excellent writing, communication and proof reading skills
The ability to create and maintain relationships with contributors
Ease in using social media, wordpress, and online meeting tools
