How will you make a difference?

None of us can change the entire world all by ourselves, but we can be the change we want to see. How will you make a difference? FIRST invites you to share a video telling us what you plan to do to make the world a better place – whether it will have an impact in your small town or something that will help people all over the globe, tell us what you hope to accomplish! Selected submissions will be featured in a video montage at an upcoming FIRST fundraising gala in New York City. Timeline: Video submission must be uploaded to YouTube by Monday, September 26, 2016 at 12pm NOON (EST). Eligibility: Student members of a FIRST team participating in the current/upcoming seasons of FIRST LEGO League Jr., FIRST LEGO League, FIRST Tech Challenge, and/or FIRST Robotics Competition may participate. Expectations/Criteria: Submissions must be no more than 30 seconds in length, and feature only one person on camera. Submissions should be filmed by someone other than yourself (please no selfie videos). When speaking to the camera, you must start your video by saying: “I’m going to make a difference in the world…” Use your best judgment to keep your video in line with FIRST Core Values! Show your FIRST pride! Ex. Wear your team shirt or a FIRST shirt. Submission Process: Upload submission to YouTube – please include your first name and your FIRST Program and Team Number in the video description. Ex. Alyssa, FIRST Tech Challenge Team 1234. Please make sure that the video is not made private or we will be unable to view it. After uploading your video, tweet the link to @FIRSTweets, and include the hashtag: #FIRSTinspires  Judging Process: Submissions will be reviewed by FIRST HQ Staff Selections will be made by November 1, 2016 Distribution: Please be aware that by submitting a video, FIRST reserves the right to use the video in any way, without your permission.
